Bangladesh team will play continuous cricket before T20 World Cup. National team ODI captain Tamim Iqbal has called for a full team before the World Cup by indulging in these limited overs matches.

After the 2019 ODI World Cup, no global cricket event has been held yet. Last year's T20 World Cup was supposed to be held but it was postponed for two years. Despite changing the venue of the 2021 T20 World Cup, it is being played on time.

The World Cup that is going to start in October is now the bird's eye view of Bangladesh. ODI captain Tamim Iqbal will be sidelined for the next two months due to injury. If everything goes well, you will be fit before the World Cup. His call to the team before that is to build themselves as a full-fledged team against teams like Australia, England, New Zealand.

Despite winning the ODI series 3-0 against Zimbabwe, he thinks the Bangladesh team is capable of playing better. Tamim said, 'I am definitely happy to win the series. I think we can play better cricket as a team. There are 12-13 matches before the World Cup. Those matches are very important. We have to be a full team before we go to the World Cup.

জিম্বাবুয়ের বিপক্ষে তৃতীয় ওয়ানডেতে দীর্ঘ ১৬ মাস পর ওয়ানডে শতক পেলেও তামিমের কাছে ১১২ রানের ইনিংস চ্যালেঞ্জিং ছিল না বলেও জানান। তিনি বলেন, ‘চ্যালেঞ্জিং মনে হয়নি, আমার কাছে মনে হয় আমি ভালো ছন্দেই ছিলাম। টেস্ট, ওয়ানডে যেখানেই ব্যাট করছিলাম ভালো ব্যাটিং করছিলাম। বড় রান করতে পারছিলাম না। এরকম ম্যাচে অবদান রাখতে পেরে আমি খুশি।’
